Dr. Afsana Amir grew up in Borough Park, Brooklyn and completed her undergraduate degree from CUNY Hunter College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry Degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University with an Advanced Studies certification in Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy.
Dr. Amir completed her clinical training in primary eye care, pediatrics, ocular disease and specialty contact lenses at the Eye Institute in Elkins Park, PA and at the Global Vision Rehabilitation Center in Miami, FL. She is passionate about her work with children and community outreach. During her time as a student, Dr. Amir was a member of Student in Optometric Service to Humanity (SOSH) where she provided eye exams to underserved communities in Panama. She is fluent in Bangla and English and has working proficiency in Spanish. Outside of the office, Dr. Amir enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling and cooking. |
In addition to primary eye care, Dr. Amir specializes in myopia progression and specialty contact lenses such as orthokeratology and scleral lenses at our practice. She enjoys serving the diverse community here in South Brooklyn and looks forward to meeting you!
Dr. Jenny Bartov

Dr. Jenny Bartov completed her undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College as part of a seven-year joint degree program with the SUNY College of Optometry. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Philosophy and the Arts. She combined her love of art and curiosity for how we see the world by conducting research on color and shadows during her time at SUNY.
Dr. Bartov graduated with a Masters in Vision Science and a Doctorate in Optometry in 2016. Dr. Bartov’s clinical experience includes vision therapy and ocular disease management at the University Eye Center, as well as an externship in low vision at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Haven, CT - helping patients of hereditary or degenerative eye diseases and post-traumatic brain injury best utilize their remaining vision. |
She also has extensive experience in pediatric eye care, having worked as a traveling optometrist to different schools and catered to a plethora of children at private practices. She provides thorough glasses and contact lens fittings as well as preventative care, dry eye, glaucoma, and myopia control management.
She fervently believes in enhancing one’s quality of life so she likes to explore eclectic routes of treatment and optimal living circumstances, ranging from light composition to ergonomics. She likes puzzles so she looks forward to tackling challenging cases that come her way

Mr. William Baldizzone, Licensed Optician, F.N.A.O.

Mr. Baldizzone has over 30 years experience in the fabrication and fitting of eyewear. He is a specialist in the fitting of Progressive lenses and likes to boast that "we never fail" our patients.
